Junmin Pan潘俊敏

Junmin Pan is a Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Freiburg, Germany, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at UT Southwestern Medical Center, USA, before joining the faculty at Tsinghua University in 2006. His research focuses on two main areas: algal cell biology—with a particular emphasis on cilia—and algal synthetic biology, using the model organism Chlamydomonas. He has been honored as a Changjiang Scholar Professor by the Ministry of Education and has received the highly prestigious National Research Talent award. He has published extensively in high-impact journals, including Cell and its sister journals, PNAS, The EMBO Journal, and others. He also serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including eLife.
