Professor of Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Impact Assessment at Parthenope University of Naples. Research on: Environmental Accounting and Impacts (Energy-Exergy-Emergy-LCA); urban and agro-industrial systems, with focus on local scale energy and material resources, recycling-reuse-conversion of residues and waste materials, "zero emission" and “circular economy”. Visiting Professor at the U.S. University of Florida (1992, 1997), Cornell University (1994), Universidad Paulista, Brazil (2013), Beijing Normal University, China (2006-to-date). Over 400 publications in peer-reviewed Journals and scientific volumes.
